Robert A. Kull, Principal of planygy, LLC, was honored with the Budd Chavoosian Award for an Outstanding Professional Planner by the New Jersey Chapter of the American Planning Association at the Chapter's 2004 annual conference on November 5, 2004. This award is given "to a professional planner for sustained contribution to the profession through distinguished practice, teaching or writing." Bob's personal contributions to state, county and municipal planning efforts in New Jersey, to the national American Planning Association, and to local civic, sports, educational and cultural organizations were cited by Brent Barnes, NJAPA Past President and Awards Committee chair. The award was named in 1999 for B. Budd Chavoosian, a professor emiritus of Rutgers University, Cook College who pioneered concepts including the transfer of development rights, growth management and current planning capacity and was involved in developing the New Jersey Pinelands Commission, Meadowlands Commission and Green Acres program.

In July 2004, Robert Kull, Principal, was named as a Commissioner to the Ewing Township Redevelopment Agency. Robert Kull is a resident of Ewing Township and Planygy is located within Ewing Township. ETRA is responsible for implementing a redevelopment plan for the Olden Avenue area.

In April 2004, Robert Kull, Principal, was elected Secretary/Treasurer of the Environment, Natural Resources and Energy Division of the American Planning Association. APA is a professional association for professional land use planners and appointed and elected officials involved in planning issues.
